A commissioned survey takes six weeks and five figures, and comes back as a single provincial average. Ask the same question here and the answer arrives the same afternoon, for the price of a coffee — already broken out by region, language, age and income, because the people answering were described on all of it before the question was written. The test that matters: hold the generated population against the published statistics it was built from. Bars are modelled output. The pale rule is the census target. Where they diverge, the gap is stated rather than smoothed over. Le test qui compte : confronter la population générée aux statistiques publiées dont elle est issue. Matching a single statistic is arithmetic. The difficulty is making the attributes agree with each other — so that language tracks geography, origin tracks language, and the province splits by generation the way it really does. Reproduire une seule statistique, c'est de l'arithmétique. La difficulté est de faire concorder les attributs entre eux — que la langue suive la géographie, l'origine suive la langue, et que le Québec se divise par génération comme il le fait vraiment.

The model isn't public — every question costs real API budget, so access runs through me.
